First birthday cake smash sessions are the best with On the Treetop Photography! Our first birthday session is divided into three custom parts: the portrait, the cake smash and some time to splash and splash. This session is definitely all about play and fun for your birthday babe.
STEP 1: THE CONSULTATION
When you schedule your session, we will chat about your vision for your session. We will chat about the theme for the cake smash - which will include styling of the set, the cake and of course the wardrobe!
STEP 2: THE SESSION
Let the fun begin! A typical first birthday session will last somewhere between 45 and 90 minutes depending on your baby. I have an ever growing collection of props and outfits to choose from, and sets/wardrobe are often custom created also. Set ups vary by theme but may include balloon garlands or walls, floral or jungle greenery, custom designed theme props and more.
The session will begin with your baby’s first year portraits, then bring out the cake for a little fun. We will wrap it up with some fun time in one of my vintage tubs. It is the perfect end to your little one’s session!
STEP 3: YOUR REVEAL
About 2 weeks after your session, we’ll get together again for the big reveal! This is where I get to show off your beautiful images and help you choose how you want to take them home.
