When should I book?
Because newborn session scheduling is quite fluid and requires flexibility, I take on a very limited number of newborn sessions My calendar often fills several months in advance, so it is recommended that you reach out early in your pregnancy to guarantee a spot. I do always try my best to accommodate babies, so if your little one has already arrived please feel reach out to me!
How old should baby be?
Babies photograph best within the first 8-21 days, as they are still very sleepy and flexible from being in the womb and have had a few days to get used to the world, figure out feeding etc. If you’ve missed that window, we can still capture beautiful newborn pictures. I have photographed newborns up to 12 weeks old, Like any newborn session, all posing is baby led and I have found more often then not older newborns do better with wrapped poses. I highly encourage my wrapped mini session package for babies that are older than three weeks old.
Do you provide props?
Yes, I provide everything that may be needed for your session, including posing props, outfits, hairties, wraps, hats and bonnets. I have a every growing supply of quality props from top vendors in the world. I even custom make some of my sets for my clients. Fit, materials, and photographic quality are extremely important to me when selecting or designing props for my sessions.
Do I need to bring anything?
When you have booked your newborn session with me I will send you a detailed information sheet on how to prepare for your session along with what to expect during the session. I have oodles of beautiful posing props, ranging from baskets to buckets to boxes as well as many beautiful headbands and hats available at the studio. All you really need to do is bring your baby and a few spare blankets, diapers and wipes. Then you can put your feet up and relax while I work to capture gorgeous images of your new baby.
Can you photograph my other siblings?
Absolutely! I love to include siblings in newborn pictures, and even love to grab a couple of them alone when possible while baby is feeding. For in studio sessions, I recommend having someone come along that can take them to the park or back home after sibling and family images have been taken. If you choose to have your session in your own home, we can easily incorporate them whenever is convenient for you. We can work around their nap, snacks etc. I find that some families still opt to do the sibling pictures first and then have another family member take the child(ren) out.
Do you do other types of sessions?
Yes! I absolutely love watching these babies grow! In addition to newborns, I offer baby milestone sessions during their first year, as well as children & family sessions. Priority is always given to returning customers.
